I have been doing the family tree and only started out with my dad and his 2 sister and one brother ,we never knew our grandparents only that their names where Ebenezer Shearer kirkpatrick and margaret gribble,I have now gone back as far as 4 generations with john kirkpatrick and jessie sutherland as Ebenezers parents,I have a lot of info of jessies grand children and G/grandchilden and a photo of some of the grandchildren,it was hard to find out when I got started ,but doing well now ,regards sandra

William Sutherland and Jean Cromarty are myg/g/grandparents their daughter Jessie was married to john kirkpatrick,their son Ebenezer shearer kirkpatrick born august 1878 is my grandfather ,my father is the son of ebenezer and his name is james fredrick kirkpatrick ,one of dads sisters is also called Jessie with middle names initals as BS ,I wondered what her middle names were ,but looking at william and jeans Jessie ,I see her middle name was barnet so i was wonering maybe my aunt Jessie's middle names were barnet sutherland just a possibility as I see a lot of children were giving there mothers maiden names wonder if I am right ?,as to our grandfather Ebenezer ,I cannot find out where or when he died,his wife and children lived in grimsby between 1904 and 1923 ,but I dont know what happened to Ebenezer but I think he may have been in the navy,no record of a death for him in england so maybe he moved back to scotland,I also dont know where his wife margaret was either after their last child Ivy was born.Ebenezer shearer kirkpatrick had 8 children Jessie b.s born 1902, thomas born 1903,john william 1905 -1995,Ebenezer 1908-1909,Ellen ann born 1910,James frederick 1916-1985(my dad)Joan margaret born1918 and Ivy doreen born 1921 the 2 eldest Jessie and Thomas were born in scotland all the others born in Grimsby,we have info on all the children but Has anyone any info please on where Ebenezer or his wife lived or died. as I mentioned before possibly at sea as he was not on the 1911 censor with his family.regards sandra
