Hi there
Just wondering if anyone has access to any early censuses from Walls ( Walls and Flotta) or Hoy/Graemsey. I am researching for my maternal line, the Corrigalls, of which a branch from Sanday apparently went to Hoy?

I have 1861 census for Walls & Flotta which shows two Corigall families, however none were born in Sanday.
#1 Hall of South Seatter John Corrigall Aged 58 Farmer b. Walls Catharine Corrigall 55 b. Stromness Catharine (30) Ellen (23) William (19) Margaret (18) Betsy (16) James (14) Jannet (12) and Isabella (10) all born Walls
#2 Stoney Quay Seatter Donald Corrigall Aged 65 Farmer b. Walls Ann Corrigall (53) b. Walls Ann (28) William (20) John (17) James (13) and Margaret (8) all born in Walls
They lived next door but one from each other, so presumably Donald and John were brothers. I don't have Hoy census, but they are searchable on scotlandspeople.gov.uk as far as I can see, thse are the only ones in the Walls + Flotta 1861 census.
Hope this helps.
